I got accepted in the group today but there is no 'Contribute' button. Also, when I try to add my painting to the group, it says that I do not have permission to do so. Why is that?

I tried to submit my digital work but a message says: Sorry, you do not have permission to submit artwork to this group.
What I must do to be able to submit?
Thank you.

My art got rejected!
All of my art is of a very similar style.
So, when I applied to join the group, why did they accept me?
They could have quickly looked at my gallery and they would have known what I do.
Pretentious group.
Leaving, bye!

Just looking for opinions, not critique: Do you think this was declined because it was too loose/whimsical looking for whoever is moderating this pages' personal taste? :-? (Confused)

Do you guys think it's just because it's a simple character concept and not a full piece with a background? Perhaps it's my sketchy style showing through.. I really did try to make this look professional/smooth. Or do I just simply not have enough skill? I understand this is a group with high standards and I very much want to become good enough to be accepted into this group.

Darn xD

Yeah ^^' but I'm not going to get accepted from them. If someday they'll accept my works, well I'll be happy.
But I doubt I'll become enough good to see that happens, so I don't see it as a goal

okay i'm just gonna paste my reply to your 'rejection' here because I bet you wont read it considering all the complaints below I have just been reading that did not even get as much as a lazy copy paste apology message in return.

''well, it kind of is an insult??
I understand that you only want 'the best of the best' in your gallery but that kind of leaves out the minorities who fyi are also trying their best as an artist. its not like this was a 5 min sloppy doodle and I KNOW that this is basically nothing compared to the majority of the art displayed in your art folders but I have just come to the conclusion that I no longer want to take part in this group. even when I am one day at your levels of artistic ability I will still shrug at the almost ridiculously high standards you put..

and I admit that I didnt read your guidelines but it still kind of shocks me.

whatever you have a nice day in your glittering gallery of artgods.''

After reading their statement I understand.  quote --->
Bullet; Orange  Artwork must be of Advanced skill level to be accepted, as determined by our Staff.
Mine isn't yet but one day will be. :)
One piece of advice to you...you should first check the persons files and then determine if they are suitable for your group of perfectionist, instead of accepting them and then rejecting their art. It would make more sense don't you think?
bye digital art!

Exactlyyy... they should check the artist profile before accepting. Who in the hell wants to be a part of a group that doesnt accept your art? They just want as many members as possible just for the numbers... to make it look like they have a cool, popular group... when in reality, most of us flat out hate it.

I got rejected a few times too. I'm not mad though. It just pushes me to be better artist in any medium not just digital. Its basically for people at a 'professional' skill level if not higher. Its not the end of the world. Just put on your big boy (or girl) pants and show them what you're made of.

Some people just can protest, but the others keep drawing.
I don't have any reputation in deviantart and my artwork also just got rejected in this group without reason.
But I never stop to draw and submit. :)

I have no problem with my work being declined. I understand that it did not reach the guidelines, yet I am upset on something else. (I totally understand why I was not allowed to submit art, so I am not complaining about being denied, no.) This group is all based on opinion of what is good and what is not, which is not fair to some artists. I looked down the comments, and I saw amazing work that was declined. Why set the guidelines so high that no one can get their art in?

How is this accepted? digital-artists.deviantart.com…

But this isn't? grzadziela.deviantart.com/art/…

It is all based on opinion and high guidelines, and I am afraid I am leaving. It is all based on who is popular, who isn't, and who used the right, expensive materials. Personally, I think the group needs work so that all memebers are happy, but I understand that I do not run the show. Thank you for reading.

My artwork also just got rejected for the second time: fav.me/d6q2sap

"We regret to inform you that your piece has not met our Groups Submission Standards and Criteria,
so unfortunately we must decline at the present time. The skill level and/or technique of your artwork do not match the current level of the folder you're aiming to submit."

Same copied pasted message, by an admin whose not even at a higher level than me but of course her artwork is accepted in the group because she's an admin. Too lazy to even mention to me what folder that I should apply to or for her to do it for me. What a complete shit of a group, only accepting people who may have a wee bit of a following or reputation.

Their idea of "Advanced skill level" is highly stupid in my view. Such amazing artists submitted here and got rejected for no good reason.

"Please understand that this is not an insult to your skill or your art." : If you not think my work has reached the skill level you are looking for, why not be frontal and tell me? Why telling "is not an insult to your skill or your art", if my art and skill is clearly your problem?

Guys if you know what you're worth is, if you know you're good, don't submit here.

why do I even try to contribute to this group if everything I submit gets shot down.

got many of my artwork rejected from this group, so many i can't even list them all.
this is the latest --> fav.me/d6q1avx

everytime i ask the reason why it has been rejected the answer is "it doesn't meet our criteria, go read the submission guidelines".

well which criteria isn't met?
this is what i'd like to know, obvious it has been rejected because it doesn't meet something, but what?
some of my illustrations has been accepted, and yes as everyone here states, only the ones with a smooth style.
and this is downright ridiculous, i mean it's always me, i do this for a living and i know when i can call an image done, no matter if it's super smooth or very rough, it's the same.
what describes an image it's not how polished it is, but what it does tell to the viewer, so some of them are better if detailed and slick, some HAVE to be rough and maybe sketchy.

i'm not saying everyone should know me and my style and immediately accept any of my submission, but at least take a second to analyze the image and its meaning, and think if it's sketchy and rough for a reason or if it's just because it's incomplete.

I like sketchy loose paintings as well, but I think this group only likes really "finished" looking stuff. I think if you added more detail and colored it a bit more than a gradient with white highlights they'd probably accept it?

yes this is the reason why they rejects a lot of stuff, it's personal taste and i'm not judging..but why naming the group so generally why you look for a defined style or technique?
it's just misleading and leads a lot of people to complain

Many groups would never accept an impressionistic style or it breaks the the image outline. I thinks...

I think there should be more important as we solve the highlights and shadows in a picture.
Sometimes a painting with many details can have many faults, I have seen them and accepted by the groups they think are perfect. But there are pictures that have major shortcomings of lights and shadows, so textures do not cover.
