digital-artists is testing a new model and format at the moment.
The old system was broken, so we all needed a break so that we may develop and test new formats and structures in other groups.
Once we establish a model that works, we will incorporate it into this group, restructure, give it a facelift and relaunch.
We owe that much to to our audience to make an effective change that benefits all, rather than a bandaid over a bullet wound which is what we had been achieving previously in regards to any resolutions involving the submission criteria issues the group had been experiencing.
Moderating a a group with a high level of criteria was difficult.
There are people of whom that do not take rejection well.
Many mods were insulted and even attacked on the mods own personal pages and through notes. Some mods were blatently harassed and at times even threatened.
Gross misconduct from Members to Modrators made it nearly unbearable at times to process submissions.
So I made a tough decision, to close the group indefinitely rather than subject my fellow mods to one more day of harassment and beratement.
A group blog will be posted at some point regarding the groups future.
could some one responsible please respond...cause i'dont wanna be a part of the group that i can't participate in.
Thank you admins and moderators for response!
What I must do to be able to submit?
All of my art is of a very similar style.
So, when I applied to join the group, why did they accept me?
They could have quickly looked at my gallery and they would have known what I do.
And saying "bad shading" and "bad composition" is not helpful nor clear whatsoever -- I suggest you use Elements of Design terms when trying to give advice. Just some food for thought Cheers
Do you guys think it's just because it's a simple character concept and not a full piece with a background? Perhaps it's my sketchy style showing through.. I really did try to make this look professional/smooth. Or do I just simply not have enough skill? I understand this is a group with high standards and I very much want to become good enough to be accepted into this group.
got rejected... now i know they really want advanced skilled digital artist...
i know that mine is not that badass art compare the art they submit here by mod...
i guess i have to learn a lot more... and see you here again...
yeah.. they have a really ridiculous artwork acceptance... but i think its okay...
just strive to be better artist...
But I doubt I'll become enough good to see that happens, so I don't see it as a goal
After reading their statement I understand. quote --->
Artwork must be of Advanced skill level to be accepted, as determined by our Staff.
Mine isn't yet but one day will be.
One piece of advice to you...you should first check the persons files and then determine if they are suitable for your group of perfectionist, instead of accepting them and then rejecting their art. It would make more sense don't you think?
bye digital art!
I don't have any reputation in deviantart and my artwork also just got rejected in this group without reason.
But I never stop to draw and submit.

Sorry I have to say it.
I have no problem with my work being declined. I understand that it did not reach the guidelines, yet I am upset on something else. (I totally understand why I was not allowed to submit art, so I am not complaining about being denied, no.) This group is all based on opinion of what is good and what is not, which is not fair to some artists. I looked down the comments, and I saw amazing work that was declined. Why set the guidelines so high that no one can get their art in?
How is this accepted? digital-artists.deviantart.com…
But this isn't? grzadziela.deviantart.com/art/…
It is all based on opinion and high guidelines, and I am afraid I am leaving. It is all based on who is popular, who isn't, and who used the right, expensive materials. Personally, I think the group needs work so that all memebers are happy, but I understand that I do not run the show. Thank you for reading.
My artwork also just got rejected for the second time: fav.me/d6q2sap
"We regret to inform you that your piece has not met our Groups Submission Standards and Criteria,
so unfortunately we must decline at the present time. The skill level and/or technique of your artwork do not match the current level of the folder you're aiming to submit."
Same copied pasted message, by an admin whose not even at a higher level than me but of course her artwork is accepted in the group because she's an admin. Too lazy to even mention to me what folder that I should apply to or for her to do it for me. What a complete shit of a group, only accepting people who may have a wee bit of a following or reputation.
Their idea of "Advanced skill level" is highly stupid in my view. Such amazing artists submitted here and got rejected for no good reason.
"Please understand that this is not an insult to your skill or your art." : If you not think my work has reached the skill level you are looking for, why not be frontal and tell me? Why telling "is not an insult to your skill or your art", if my art and skill is clearly your problem?
Guys if you know what you're worth is, if you know you're good, don't submit here.
